OHIO TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WEVV) — A shelter-in-place advisory has been issued for residents due to a fire on Vann Road at the PBTT building.

UPDATE (as of 6:15 P.M.): Henderson EMA has sent out a public safety alert:

"Due to a Chemical Fire in Newburgh. The smoke plume is moving south into Easter Henderson County. The areas of Baskett, Spottsville, Reed, Hebbardsville, Zion, Niagara and Roberts are directly impacted. Take precautions now. Turn off A C, close windows and doors. Stay inside. "

UPDATE: this shelter-in-place advisory has been extended according to dispatch, to include Oak Grove Road South to the Ohio River, and Anderson Road East to the Spencer County Line.
