The first night of the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards delivered an exciting celebration of television’s craft and creativity at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 6, 2025. A total of 50 awards were handed out across categories ranging from guest acting to technical achievements, setting the stage for the Primetime Emmys later this month.

Major Acting Highlights

Several big names took home trophies on opening night. Julianne Nicholson earned Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in Hacks , while Bryan Cranston won Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for The Studio . Merritt Wever was also recognized, winning Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Severance .
