Could big things be happening on Palatine Hill for the Lewis & Clark and new coach Brett Elliott?

The Pioneers, who went 5-5 last year, traveled to Tacoma and pummeled Pacific Lutheran 56-20, rolling up 679 yards offense (292 on ground) against the host Loggers.

Dual-threat quarterback Dashiell Weaver was 24 of 35 passing for 359 yards and five touchdowns (with one pick). He also had 89 yards rushing on seven carries.

The Loggers couldn’t get much going against the L&C defense, rushing for a net 22 yards. Quarterback Hayden Teeter was 29 of 46 for 330 yards and three touchdowns.
