Garrett Nussmeier connected with Nic Anderson for the first touchdown of the season in Tiger Stadium, marking Anderson’s first career touchdown reception at LSU.
The Bayou Bengals totaled 365 yards in the victory, holding the Bulldogs to just 154 yards, according to ESPN.
Center Braelin Moore left the game with an injury on LSU’s opening drive and was later seen wearing a protective walking boot during the first half.
The loss drops Louisiana Tech to 1-1 on the young season.
