SHREVEPORT, La. — The Krewe of Sobek welcomed its Royalty XXIII Saturday evening with a festive coronation event, “An Evening of Magic, Enchantment, and Second Lines,” held at Live! Casino.

Doors opened at 6 p.m. as guests, dressed in semi-formal attire, gathered to honor the organization’s newest royalty. The celebration combined traditional pageantry with the vibrant spirit of New Orleans-style second-line parades.

The Krewe of Sobek, a longstanding Shreveport organization devoted to cultural and community events, highlighted its Royalty XXIII with music, dancing, and ceremonial flair.
