LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - Nebraska junior tight end Luke Lindenmeyer scored on and off the field Saturday against Akron.
The La Vista, Nebraska, native scored the first touchdown of his four-year Husker career on a 10-yard pass from Dylan Raiola in the second quarter to increase the Huskers’ lead to 33-0.
He finished the 68-0 win with three catches for 44 yards -- ironically his excact jersey number -- and the score.
Lindenmeyer had teased something was coming after the game during his Tuesday press conference. That came in the form of a marriage proposal to his girlfriend, who is on the Nebraska Scarlets Dance Team.
She said yes.
