DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. - A Panola County man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of attempted murder.

According to information presented in court, Anjayvious Farmer drove to a gas station in Coldwater, Mississippi on September 3, 2023 looking for his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child. Court documents show that when Farmer found her in a car with her current boyfriend, the couple left the gas station, with Farmer chasing them onto the roadway, eventually following them onto I-55.
