The Florence County Sheriff 's Office says a 43-year-old man is facing multiple charges following what was described as a standoff.

Joshua Stafford Poston of 3942 Pine Needles Road, Florence, is charged with:

■ Pointing and presenting a firearm at a person

■ Discharging a firearm into vehicle, aircraft, etc. while occupied

■ Possession of a weapon during violent crime

■ Domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature

■ Possession, threatened or attempted use of weapon of mass destruction for act of terrorism

Deputies responded to a call on Pine Needles Road on Wednesday regarding a subject who allegedly discharged a firearm during a domestic-related incident.

The sheriff 's office claims a stand-off and negotiation followed.
