Fall weather isn't stopping the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) as its crews are set to begin a number of construction work across the state.

Here's what to know about new work starting the week of Sep. 6.

Upcoming MDOT construction projects

The following construction projects are set to start this week, according to MDOT, with travel advisories in effect:

Southbound Interstate 75 is closed from Clark Avenue to Schaefer Road through Monday, Sept. 8, for bridge work, a release from MDOT said. The road will close from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, as well.

MDOT is resurface 1.3 miles of Old M-45 (River Hill Drive) from the Grand River east to M-45 (Lake Michigan Drive). The work starts Monday, Sept. 8, and is expected to end sometime in Novemb
