Shopping centres are at the heart of communities , and everyone has an opinion on the one closest to them. I have grown up with Queensgate in Peterborough as my local shopping centre, and I’ve seen many changes over the years.
The changes have been both bad and good. There have been many shops come and go, which has left it looking empty at times. But there have been some welcomed additions that have still made Queensgate worth the visit.
Some shops that are no longer in the centre I associate with some important milestones in my life. My earliest memories of the centre were going to British Home Stores, where TKMaxx is now based, and getting my school uniform.
