The Princess of Wales will now be joining her husband at an event celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II, it was confirmed on Monday by Kensington Palace. The late Queen died three years ago on September 8 at Balmoral, Aberdeenshire.

The Prince of Wales was originally thought to be due to carry out an engagement to mark the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death alone as his estranged brother returns to the UK for the first time in five months. William will be in Sunningdale, Berkshire, for the engagement on Monday, while the Duke of Sussex will be in London for the annual WellChild Awards, a cause close to his heart as the charity’s long-standing patron, before travelling to a community recording studio in Nottingham on Tuesday.
