A teacher who accessed adult content and chat sites in view of children has been banned from the profession. Mr Christian Watkinson, 48, was a science teacher at The Christian School in Takeley, Hertfordshire , between September 2020 and May 2023.

The Christian School was a small, independent school founded by a group of parents and friends. It has since closed down, and it went into liquidation last July.

Between November 2022 and May 2023, the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) found that Watkinson repeatedly used his school laptop to access adult chat sites and adult content while teaching. He used a hotspot to bypass the school's internet monitoring system.
