The stats that defined Penn State’s offensive struggles against FIU: third downs and passing misses

Although it wasn’t pretty for most of the afternoon, Penn State finished Saturday’s Week 2 performance with a blowout, 34-0 over FIU. The Nittany Lions are 2-0 and shouldn’t fall far (if at all) from their No. 2 ranking in the AP Poll.

But there are clear areas of needed improvement before Oregon, who demolished Oklahoma State on Saturday, comes to town for the White Out on Sept. 27.
