DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) - A driver is dead after a single vehicle crash in the Town of Shields, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation showed that a 2006 Acura sedan was traveling northbound on County Road Q, south of Pit Road. The vehicle left the roadway, before striking several trees and coming to rest in a heavily wooded area.

The 18-year-old driver died at the scene, according to officials. The driver’s name is not being released as the crash continues to be investigated.

The City of Watertown Fire and EMS, the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Chaplains, and the Dodge County Emergency Response all assisted with the response.
