CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two people are dead and another person is injured after two separate shootings in Charlotte early Sunday morning.

Around 1:15 a.m., police said they were called to Queen City Drive near the Rodeway Inn. When they arrived, they said they found a man with a gunshot wound. MEDIC rushed him to the hospital, where he later died.

Police said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide, but no one is being pursued in connection to the shooting.

Around 2:45 a.m., police responded to Robinson Circle at Atando Avenue, finding two people with gunshot wounds. According to police, one person died on the scene and the other was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
