BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An animal shelter in Baton Rouge is offering an adoption special and also has opportunities available for people to volunteer.
The Companion Animal Alliance shelter is allowing you to adopt any spayed/neutered pets for an adoption fee of only $10 on Tuesdays.
When you arrive at the shelter to adopt, you will need to have an ID, a form of payment for the adoption fee, and a way to secure your new family member. CAA officials said that dogs must have a leash, and cats must leave in a carrier. There are some available to be purchased at the shelter’s retail store.
Before an animal is adopted out, they are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given flea and heartworm prevention.
CAA is also looking for volunteers to help support the mission of finding dogs and cats
