SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A woman died from her injuries from a domestic incident in west-central Shreveport.

On Sept 6, at 7:30 a.m., a woman was fatally injured during a domestic incident at a home in the 3100 block of DeSoto Street in the Ingleside neighborhood.

Kalisia Franklin, 27, died at a local hospital at 1:30 p.m. following the incident.

“The death marks the 26th confirmed homicide to date in Shreveport proper to date in 2025 and the 31st such confirmed death in Caddo Parish overall in that span,” says the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.

The investigation is ongoing.
