Ontario's police watchdog is reviewing a collision involving a police vehicle and motorcycle that left one person injured in Welland.
The collision occurred Friday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a news release the following day.
Around 9:40 p.m., an officer with the OPP's Niagara detachment crashed into a motorcycle on Highway 58A and Reaker Road, OPP said.
The motorcycle rider went to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said. The officer wasn't hurt.
The Special Investigations Unit scrutinizes police interactions that involve a death, serious injury or sexual assault.
