LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have identified a driver killed in a Saturday night crash that also injured one other person in Lexington County.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 11 p.m. on Old Cherokee Road near Foxglen Road.

Bolt said a 2020 Ford SUV was heading east on Old Cherokee Road when it traveled off the right side of the road, hit a mailbox and came back across the road, hitting a westbound 2016 Infiniti SUV head-on. The driver, the only occupant of the Infiniti, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford died and was the only person in the vehicle.

Coroner Margaret Fisher later identified the deceased driver as 36-year-old Steven Chase Liebler of Lexington. Fisher said he wasn
