Some quality-of-life fixes at one of London’s busiest intersections on the Western University campus are on hold, awaiting a possible bus rapid transit (BRT) route through the area.

City council’s community and protective services committee will weigh in Monday on a status report for improvements to the intersection of Western Road, Sarnia Road, and Philip Aziz Avenue.

“For the purposes of infrastructure planning, civic administration re-examined the recommendations of the Western Road and Sarnia Road/Philip Aziz Avenue corridor and intersection . . . to consider interim priority improvements while minimizing costs,” the report reads.
