Tommy Fury has faced criticism for claiming he had "completed" his debut triathlon - despite failing to finish both the swimming and cycling portions of the event.

The 26 year old boxer shared images of himself crossing the finish line of the demanding 100k race in France last week.

He was supported by girlfriend Molly Mae Hague and their two year old daughter Bambi, who had made the journey to surprise him.

"I left it all out in the French Riviera. 100KM triathlon on 10 days training... completed," he posted on Instagram, sharing footage of his final exhausted dash across the line.
