BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Every summer for the past 30 years, artists from all over the nation have been converging on a small Midwest college town surrounded by corn and soybean fields to show off their art.
This year’s winners of the Black Swamps Arts Festival Juried Art Show in Bowling Green came from as far afield as Florida and Pennsylvania and as close to home as Maumee, Ohio.
The Best in Show award went to Harry Welsch , whose glazed ceramics utilize found objects from nature.
Best 2-D was awarded to Joe Dagostino , Photography & Digital Art from Sagamore Hills, Ohio and Best 3-D was awarded to Alexander Draven , Jewelry from Akron, Ohio.
This year's Judge's Award for the Juried Show was Stephen Wheeler , Painting from Aurora, Indiana and the Sustainability Award was award
