GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The No. 12 Florida Gators swept Ohio State on Sunday afternoon in a fourth-straight win.
After a slow start, Florida found their rhythm and held the Buckeyes to just a .165 hitting parentage and a season-low 31 kills.
A balanced roster effort, five players contributed to the stat sheet with outside hitters Aniya Madkin and Jordan Byrd finishing in double digits. Byrd leading the way with 15 kills and Madkin with a season-high 11 kills and tying her career-high .417 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Jaela Auguste hit .538 to finish with eight kills, while Kira Hutson Alec Rothe added six each to Florida’s 47.
Florida also finished with 4.0 team blocks and had 48 digs.
