AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF)- Two people are dead after what appears to be a public domestic dispute, resulting in a shooting.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is currently on scene at the Best Buy parking lot off of Walton Way Extension responding to a shooting that took place in the parking lot.

According to the sheriff's office, the people involved know each other and appears to be a domestic dispute, so there is no danger to the public.

Coroner Mark Bowen was called to the scene and confirms that two died after being shot at least once.

Investigators are currently on scene and handling the incident.
