NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) - A North Augusta man is sharing his story after his husband was deported to Mexico.
Anthony Espinoza said it happened right outside their home.
"I was honestly distraught. Like I was devastated."
Espinoza said he remembers the morning clearly. His husband, Brian, was sweeping their front porch when agents rolled up in unmarked cars. He said they wore FBI vests, but told him they were with ICE.
"They already had him in handcuffs right here. And they let him in the car. They wouldn't let me talk to 'em. They wouldn't let me, you know, hold onto 'em, like to give him a hug or anything like that," he said.
For days, Anthony searched for answers. He drove to Columbia, called offices, desperate to find out where Brian was held.
