SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — The University of Jamestown women’s soccer team fell in a tight 2-1 loss to Westminster University (Utah) on Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Griffins’ Dumke Field.

The Griffins (2-0) opened the scoring in the 33rd minute on a strike from Addie McCallister to give her team a 1-0. The score stayed that way until the 53rd minute when the Jimmies’ Abrianna Madill scored to tie the game up at one. The tie game did not stay tied for very long as the Griffins’ Kara Dickey scored in the 55th minute to give her team a 2-1.

In between the sticks, the Jimmies (0-1) turned to freshman Skylar Lind who made three saves on 5 shots, while giving up two goals. The Griffins used two goalies, Brighton Jakeman and Marin MacKenzie who combined to make 2 saves on 3 shots while giving up one goa
