SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - To remember 9/11, Siouxland Freedom Park will hold a memorial and flag retirement ceremony.
Dakota County American Legion, VFW Posts and area Fire and Rescue departments will hold a ceremony in remembrance of 9/11 on Thursday, Sept. 11, around 7 p.m. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Department, South Sioux City Police Department, and Dakota County Emergency Management are also organizers of this event.
The ceremony will take place at Siouxland Freedom Park to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, and all veterans of the war on terrorism, according to organizers.
Siouxland Freedom Park is located at 1801 Veterans Drive in South Sioux City.
