LITCHFIELD, Maine (WABI) - “I’ve been coming here since I was like 12 or 13 with my cousins. And I didn’t notice that he came here, so I started coming with him and it’s kind of been a thing that stuck,” Brayden Choate, attending the fair with friends.
Coming to the Litchfield Fair has been a tradition in Central Maine spanning generations.
“It’s been going for 167 years and it’s like old home days here. I get comments, I’ve had some today, ‘this is the only fair I come to’. They like the fair,” stated Litchfield Farmers Club and Fair President, Charlie Smith.
“There’s rides, there’s people, you can meet new people here. It’s pretty awesome, you know what I mean? I get out with my kids and my grandson, and I really love it,” said David Levesque, who was with his family at the fair.
