STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) - Local World War II veteran, Solomon Castleberry, was one of 13 men drafted out of Stillwater back in 1943. Saturday, he celebrated his 100th birthday.
"I don't regret having gone through what I did for my service to the country," said Castleberry.
Castleberry was drafted at the age of 18 in Payne County. He went on to be a part of a B-29 crew as a tailgunner.

He then went on to the Army Air Corps, which would eventually be called what we know it as, the U.S. Air Force.
"Living with me is the reason he's made it to one hundred. Everyone else would've kicked him out," said his wife, Twilla Castleberry.
