WESTFIELD, P.A. (WENY) -- On Friday, the Shapiro Administration announced Pennsylvania’s first official ATV roadway designation. A section of Route 49 in Westfield is now open to all-terrain vehicles during the seasonal riding months.
The 3,700-foot stretch connects existing trail networks to businesses along Route 49, providing riders with safe access while giving local shops a boost.
ATVs are permitted only during daylight hours and within the Northcentral Regional ATV Trail season, which runs from the Friday before Memorial Day until the last Sunday in September.
