ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Elmira’s Lake Street will be filled with music, food, and family activities this weekend for the second annual LawnFest.

The event takes place Saturday, September 13th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., stretching from the Economic Opportunity Program to the Chemung County Historical Society.

Nine local organizations are partnering for the community celebration, including Finn Academy, Community Arts of Elmira, Meals on Wheels of Chemung County, the Arnot Art Museum, YWCA Elmira & Twin Tiers, and others.

The festival features live performances, art displays, food vendors, and activities for kids. Organizers say LawnFest is designed as a free, family-friendly way to highlight Elmira’s culture and community spirit.
