Hundreds of Fairbanksans flocked to University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Large Animal Research Station Saturday for the annual Locals Day.

Andra Rozentals, a tour guide and musk ox enthusiast, fed fireweed to muskoxen, giving visitors the chance to see the animals up close. The reindeer ate from their buffet and eyed their visitors.

Residents donated canned food for the Fairbanks Community Food Bank, entered a raffle for qiviut, felt muskoxen and reindeer fur, and took photos of the animals while LARS tour guides share interesting facts about the animals.
