Edinburgh is set to be battered with "thundery showers" as rain prepares to hit the capital this week.
The weather conditions are set to change on Wednesday, September 10, as temperatures take a dip. Forecasters have warned the weather will become "unsettled" throughout the week.
Predicated temperatures of 18C have been recorded reaching as low as 10C on Wednesday, according to the Met Office.
Frequent showers are expected to take place in Edinburgh and the Lothians - which could turn into longer periods of rain and some thunderstorms in the afternoon.
The city is expected to get cooler with temperatures dipping to 16C from Thursday to Sunday with some run rays peeking through.
A Met Office forecaster reported for Wednesday to Friday: "Turning more unsettled with frequent showers fo
