BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 41-year-old man was killed after he stole a car and crashed it into a Brooklyn building early Monday morning, sources told PIX11 News.
Sources said a Honda Civic with TLC plates was stolen from Regent and Flatbush avenues around 1:45 a.m. The driver had left the car running for a minute while they ran an errand, according to sources.
Sources said the man sped the car down Flatbush Avenue for a mile and a half before he crashed it into a building. The man was ejected and thrown several feet from the car, according to sources.
Sources said the impact caused part of the vehicle to land near a gas station, while the rest of it came to a screeching halt on an island in the middle of Flatbush Avenue and Avenue J.
