GEAUGA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - The 36-year-old Wickliffe man accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife outside a Chardon home, was indicted by a Geauga County Grand Jury.

Steven Kurzinger was indicted on the charges of aggravated murder, murder, and having weapons under disability.

Chardon Police said Kurzinger shot his ex-wife just after 9 p.m. on June 25 outside a home in the 300 block of Irma Dr.

A neighbor called 911 at 9:13 p.m.

When police arrived at 9:17 p.m., they found the victim with a gunshot wound.

Alexandria Kurzinger, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chardon Police Chief Scott Niehus said a neighbor reported seeing a silver vehicle leaving immediately after the gunshot.

Police issued a BOLO message to local law enforcement to watch for the vehicle.
