PANAMA CITY, Fla. ( WJHG/WECP /Gray News) - A child cancer survivor held a lemonade stand collecting money to donate to other pediatric cancer patients.

Eight-year-old Vyla Leynes was four when they discovered a Wilms tumor and she was diagnosed with cancer.

Vyla says she wants to help others with cancer. Kids in her Sweet Bay neighborhood helped her serve lemonade to give back.

“Help kids with cancer too, and a lot of research for kids with cancer has just been cut. So, I’m trying to do as much as I can right now for a lot of kids,” Vyla said.

The lemonade stand raised over a thousand dollars and all proceeds are going to the rally foundation for childhood cancer research.

Anyone can also donate to the rally foundation online.
