CANTON, Ohio (WOIO) - A Canton mother was indicted by a Stark County Grand Jury in connection with the fatal stabbing of her 30-year-old daughter.
Terri Niner was indicted on the charges of involuntary manslaughter and negligent assault for the death of Avyla Mangan.
Francis Niner, Mangan’s stepfather, was not indicted on the charge of obstructing justice.
According to Canton police, a 911 call around 9:35 a.m. on July 10, directed officers to 2327 20th St. NE.
When officers arrived, they found Mangan in the backyard of the home being treated by Canton medics for a stab wound to her back.
