KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — On Monday, an imaging company announced that it was partnering with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to investigate sinkholes, according to a press release from marketing company MoxCar.
In July, 6 News reported that 3D imaging company TreisD planned to open a facility in Eastridge Business Park in Mascot. On Monday, MoxCar announced that TreisD was opening headquarters at the University of Tennessee Research Park at Cherokee Farm, about 30 minutes from the new facility which is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
TreisD also plans to partner with UTK to launch a study on sinkholes, using AI to predict them, MoxCar said. The company hopes that this will help communities mitigate the damage.
