MADISONILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Four people face charges after a group of dogs attacked a 71-year-old woman in Madisonville on Saturday, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
According to witnesses, between 10 and 15 pit bull mix dogs were involved in an attack against a woman on Fairview Road Saturday before by-standers corralled the dogs away from her.
Monroe County deputies went to the scene were the found the woman lying on the front porch of a home with "severe lacerations," MCSO said. Monroe County Emergency Medical Service treated her on the scene, before she was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
MCSO and Monroe County Animal Control officers investigated the incident, and four people were charged with animals at large resulting in a serious injury, with additio
