Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an alleged dog attack on Saturday in the 2500 block of Fairview Road, in Madisonville, Tennessee.

A 71-year-old woman was found lying on the front porch with "severe lacerations to her body."

Witnesses stated "10-15 pit bull mix dogs" attacked her.

Bystanders and the witnesses corralled the dogs away from the victim until Monroe County Animal Control Officers removed the dogs.

EMS treated the 71-year-old and transported her to the University of Tennessee Hospital for further treatment.
