The King of All Media pulled a fast one on listeners on Monday morning (Sept. 8) when he appeared to announce his retirement from afar when he didn’t show up, as promised, following a long summer break. Howard Stern, 71, was originally slated to be back on air last week amid rumors that his nearly two-decade run at SiriusXM might be coming to an end.
