The 2025 Kingston Ribfest and Craft Beer Show cooked up crowds over the weekend at the Memorial Centre.

For the last 13 years except one (2020, due to COVID), every weekend after Labour Day, the Kingston fairgrounds have been filled with the sweet, smokey smells and flavours of BBQ ribs and chicken.

Ribfest organizer Guy Exley expressed relief that after a dozen years, the weather finally cooperated.

“The 12 times we’ve done this, we rarely had a good, solid weekend without rain,” Exley said. “So, attendance is much higher this year because of that.”

Saturday’s morning showers were over by the time the gates opened at noon.
