For the fifth year in a row, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be held in Kingston on Sept. 30, 2025, from 1 to 7 p.m. in Confederation Park.

The day honours children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools including their families and communities.

It was declared a statutory holiday in 2021 and has since reflected on the ongoing legacy of Indian residential schools that operated for more than 100 years, with the last schools closing in the 1990s.

In Kingston, the day will include an Indigenous artisan market, community booths, activities and a stage for community voices.
