West Ranga Property Group and Lujo Properties have unveiled plans for a new Tesco on the Isle of Skye.
A public consultation event will be held on 27 September to outline the proposals and get views from the local community, at Broadford Village Hall and Portree Community Centre.
The proposed development will comprise a 32,000 sq ft food supermarket, with petrol station, service yard and customer car parking on a site off Drovers Way in Portree, which was previously designated by Highland Council for a new supermarket.
It would be Tesco’s first store on Skye, coming with a multi-million pound investment into the local area, including "a number' of local full and part time jobs.
Alastair Dickie, director of West Ranga and Lujo, commented: “We will submit a detailed planning application
