After getting humbled in several season-opening non-conference games, the SEC regained some juice in Week 2.

Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Missouri all won in head-to-head matchups with power-conference opponents, while Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Texas all won in fairly comfortable fashion against Group of Six competition. Only a classic faceplant by Florida kept it from being a banner week for the conference.
