MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — Madisonville Police say they arrested a woman for burglary after she admitted to entering a residence that wasn't hers and stealing from inside.

Officers say they were dispatched to the Victoria Trailer Park on Dulin Street to investigate a burglary.

When they arrived, police said they spoke to several witnesses who told them a woman had entered a residence while the people who lived there were sleeping.

Police say they identified the suspect as 25-year-old Lauren Furgerson, and found her nearby.

When officers spoke with Furgerson, they say she admitted to entering a residence that wasn't hers and stealing a backpack from inside.

Officers say they noticed Furgerson also had uncontrollable body movements, and was unsteady on her feet.
