LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KY3) - Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders believes Arkansas and Arkansas State should play every season in Little Rock.

The schools met for the first time ever on Saturday. The Razorbacks dominated the Red Wolves in a 56-14 victory. Arkansas jumped out to a 28-7 lead in the first ten minutes of the game.

On Monday, Gov. Sanders sent a letter to the board of trustees at both universities suggesting they make the game an annual event, calling Saturday’s game a “long-overdue occasion” that united fans across the state.

She released this statement below:

Dear Trustees,

This week marked a historic moment for our state, the city of Little Rock, and War Memorial Stadium as we hosted the first-ever meeting between the Razorbacks and the Red Wolves on the football field.
