The Brief
PHOENIX - After several weeks of an active monsoon pattern, things are starting to quiet down across the state.
What To Expect This Week:
High pressure has built up over the Southwest and will remain in place for the next couple of days. As a result, high temperatures will sit around or slightly above average between 102-106 degrees from Monday through Wednesday.
By Wednesday and into Thursday, high pressure will start to shift eastward to make room for a trough and low pressure centered up over the West Coast. This pattern feels a bit more "fall" – bringing breezy conditions to the state and slightly cooler temperatures. The forecast high temperature will slip to 100 by Thursday and the upper 90s by Friday and Saturday.
Winds increase on Tuesday to gusts of 20 mph. By Wed
