PHOENIX – Work is underway on a freeway widening project designed to address rising traffic demands near the TSMC Arizona campus in north Phoenix.

The project will add one general-use lane in each direction of Loop 303 between Interstate 17 in north Phoenix and Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria over the next three years. The 7-mile stretch, part of which runs just south of the 1,100-acre TSMC Arizona semiconductor manufacturing site, currently has two lanes each way.

As part of the project, a new direct connection from I-17 to Loop 303 will be built.

How long will Loop 303 freeway widening project take?

The Loop 303 project is scheduled to be completed in mid-2028, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
