Rate My Takeaway bosses have revealed "the truth" behind Danny Malin's sudden exit from the hit YouTube show.

Danny announced he had quit the food review show last week after "challenges behind the scenes" amid health concerns. He said he had suffered two strokes 18 months ago and that put his "life into perspective".

The remaining duo behind the show, the camera operator and editor, have broken their silence on the matter, issuing a thousand word statement yesterday, Sunday, September 7. They claimed Danny refused to film a farewell video on their official Rate My Takeaway (RMT) channel, instead deciding to make the announcement on a more recent channel that he made with his wife and reporter Sophie Mei Lan, Mr and Mrs Yorkshire.
